The main purpose of this course is to help you to become skillful in making the computer to do what you want it to do. Once you’ve acquired this skill, your first instinct when confronted with many tasks will be to write a computer program to do that task for you. At the end of this course, you should feel comfortable writing small and medium sized programs. This course will be educational and useful for anybody, no matter what your major is. Emphasis is not in memorizing stuff, it’s on how to solve problems. The course starts out gently to lure you in but gets quite hard towards the end. Programming language used in this course is Python.
